Massage, Reiki and Bach flower remedies
"Your dog will be happier, more relaxed and more balanced. Benefits for your dog...
and for you"
Massage works in much the same way for your dog as for you. It relaxes, eases muscles and relieves stress. It can be a treatment in itself or an accompaniment for behavioural therapy.
It works particularly well for stressed and overexcited dogs.
I also use it on fearful dogs later on in their treatment. It gets them used to being touched in a very balanced manner.

Reiki is a treatment that helps to release stress in the broadest sense. By taking away the stress, your dog gets more relaxed, his behaviour more normalised:
Reiki is, like massage and bach flower remedies, a treatment firstly developed for humans and is used in hospitals, health care in general and integrated in massage and physio therapy. It works by focusing attention on the dog as a whole and particularly the area where the problem lies. |
Bach flower remedies is a set of 38 flower essences that correct emotional blockages or imbalances. Negative emotions are replaced with positive ones. Dr. Edward Bach, in the 1930's, set out to find an alternative to treat the patient as a whole, rather than just treat a particular area. He found during his research on plants that each of the flowers works on a particular emotional state or characteristic. In dogs it can help in very diverse cases: fear, agression, stubbornness, traumas are just some examples. Upto five flowers can be added per preparation. It can thus be adapted to subtle details of a particular problem. |
